Experience and Skills

High School diploma required, college degree desirable;

Series 6 or 7 licenses preferred/desirable

At least 1-2 years of broker/dealer sales support experience required.

Strong commitment to customer service

Financial services/securities industry experience desirable

Basic/working knowledge of general office procedures and equipment (multi-line phones, FAX, computer and keyboard skills)

Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook/E-mail

Good quantitative skills and ability

Accurate data entry skills

Professional appearance and demeanor essential

The selected candidate will provide Sales and administrative support to customers and financial advisors. Also, will greet and interact with customers both in person and on the phone; will maintain client and account information and assist advisors with special projects as needed.

Commonly used securities industry practices and procedures.

Concepts, principles and practices of securities trading/sales.

Procedures for processing trades.

Job Summary:

Under routine supervision, uses entry level knowledge and skills obtained through experience and/or training to assist trading and/or sales personnel with activities that do not require securities licensing, including processing trades, communicating with clients and coordinating with back office operations. Follows established procedures to perform routine tasks and receives guidance and direction to perform other work with more variety and complexity requiring limited decision making responsibility. Resolves most questions and problems and refers new or unusual issues to a higher level. Routine contact with internal and external customers is required to obtain, clarify or provide facts and information.

Hold current Series 7 and 63 licenses

Will consider applicants without securities licenses with strong administrative skills, and are willing to study and sit for the licensing exams within the first 3 months of employment.
